As The Sales Development Pro, I’m going to open my vault and give you three golden nuggets to deposit into your 2011 Business Plan to help you create greater results in the New Year.
Before I give you these gifts allow me to stress the point that happiness does not follow success, success truly follows your happiness at home as well within your business. The happier you can be about your goals, your actions your personal & professional growth the greater the success you will gain. If you’re not happy about a situation or an outcome then your response will be different than if you’re happy about your actions. If you’re happy then your attitude will be positive, your enthusiasm level will be greater and those around you will feel the positive vibes. So get happy about your life, your business and your 2011 business plan. You do have a business plan don’t you?
Okay enough about the “Happiness Factor” let’s get to those “Golden Nuggets” to help you develop your success plan for 2011.
Optimistic Sales People out sale non-optimistic sales people! Golden Nugget number one, you are in sales, if you’re in any kind of business. So the key to greater sales which leads to more revenue which in turn can lead to more options in life is to be optimistic about your goals, your programs, your turn-downs, whatever comes your way in life, it’s a choice of thinking, Optimistic or not!
The key to high energy is passion; Golden Nugget number two, when you love what you do, you will have energy, and when you have high energy, your drive, passion and attitude is greater. If you have true passion about what you do in life, and it’s from the heart, gut and soul, you’ll always give your best, you won’t wear down, and your energy will invite others to want to be around you, hire you and refer you to others. Allow your passion to keep that lean mean “helping” not “selling” machine running!
Discover your “Inner Peace” that place in your life when you know you’re the “right fit” for that customer, your business and you 2011 plan. Golden Nugget number three is knowing who, what and why and what your capacities are, when you’re the right fit and when you’re not. The worst place to be in life for you and your customer is trying to be the “right fit” when the shoe doesn’t fit! If your passion is to be the best you can be in Customer Service programs then why say yes to the client who is asking for something that doesn’t align with your passion? Feel your “Inner Peace” when you’re the right fit, you feel it, your customers feel and your energy is high and your passion is alive.
